When do you tell people you're pregnant

Question

I just found out and plan on telling our parents next week (5weeks), we also go on holiday with friends at 6 weeks who will suspect due to not drinking so we will need to tell them. But when have people announced to work and other family members? 
I'm thinking of going for an early scan at 7/8 weeks and telling people then (at 12 weeks is my sisters due week and I don't want to take anything away from her baby but I wouldn't be able to wait longer than 12 weeks) but then don't know if this is too early!

I’m 13 weeks and have really enjoyed not telling people. We told my parents the day we found out, my husband’s parents at 12 weeks, and our best friends (4 people) throughout that time. We aren’t “not telling” but we are sooo enjoying our happy secret and only telling those who are really sweet to us! Plus my sister in law is 3 weeks ahead of me and I’ve been wanting to give her special time of being the center of attention. 😘 everyone’s situation is different and I think you can tell whenever you want!

I don’t think there is a “right” answer to this question. It really depends on the person. I’m 5 weeks and have told some close family members so far. I don’t want to keep it a secret for long because I am honestly just too excited!

I'm currently 9 weeks and itching to tell ! However just going to wait until 12 weeks to announce ! Had an early scan due to HG and saw baby's heart beat thankfully ! I would just say whenever you feel is best for you xx

I told my bestie right after I told my husband, which was right after I peed on a stick. We told our families and a couple more close friends after our first scan at 7 weeks. I told my bosses at 12 weeks, after getting my genetic screening results, and have been telling a few more friends and coworkers since then. I’m 15.5 weeks now - waiting to do a big announcement until my little sister is ready to announce. She’s 12 weeks, but wants to wait until after her cerclage is placed next week. Our daughters have matching big sister shirts to wear.

Told our families at 6 weeks, probably telling our immediate coworkers and bosses at 9-10 weeks. Everyone else can wait til 12-14 weeks. I’m not in any hurry to tell all of social media.

I told my parents and in-laws once I found out.  I didn't tell the rest of family and friends until 12 weeks.  I still haven't told work yet though.  I have an ultrasound this weekend to determine gender and will tell management next week (I'll be 15 weeks at that point). But most everyone else at work will find out when I start showing....I'm just a private person and prefer it that way 😁

I out 12 weeks/first scan..  I told after my first scan. but that was at 8 weeks and 4 days...  we then went to tell family by 10 weeks.

Family and close friends at 6 weeks. Not announcing this time on social media until she’s born. But last time we announced at 14 weeks when we found out the gender.

I told my sister at 6 weeks, my best friends (who are also pregnant) at 8 weeks, my boss at 12 weeks, in-laws at 13 weeks, and I actually probably won’t tell my parents/family until almost 20 weeks, because I really want to tell them in person.
