If you could re-do your pregnancy and birth what would be different this time?

I’d not tell anyone the gender, name, and keep the whole pregnancy private until about 20w. No shower either. I’d do my pictures 26-30w. 
My family has been nothing but batsh!t crazy and toxic about my pregnancy. I feel cheated because I worked really hard to get super fit, healthy, saved a ton of money, bought a house, detoxed from things like junk food and sketchy lotions—I just forgot to detox the emotional vampires in my life.

I definitely would have eaten better during pregnancy and not sat reclined so much, as that's likely what gave me a posterior baby, which I learned a year and a half later. I wish all midwives told you that in your last trimester! As for the birth, I wish I hadn't have let them talk me into an induction, as it failed and I ended up with a c section. I wish I would have given myself more time and looked into spinning babies. Definitely things I'll be taking into consideration with my next when we get there!

I would have taken a relaxation course like hypnobirthing or hypnobabies. It doesnt change much about natural birth except for being able to visualize and use breath to keep loose and relaxed

I found a midwife immediately this time. For my first I did not like my physician the whole time and did not trust her, but I did not get up the nerve to switch until 35 weeks, and had the baby 3 weeks later. The midwife group was the best and I would have been more comfortable the whole time if I had switched earlier. Also, exercise! I don’t know if I could have pushed my first out if I had not kept up with it the whole time. He got stuck for over and hour, but I had the stamina to keep going thank goodness!

I would’ve taken it easy while setting up my baby shower and shopping for it. And not go to a wedding convention with my friend for 4 hours (walking) the day after my shower.  I believe that’s part of the reason I went into preterm labor at 30 weeks!

I'll refuse the vitamin k shot. 
I won't allow my waters to be broken. Hopefully meaning I won't end up with another induction, ventouse or episiotomy.  
I won't allow my baby to be taken away from my view for any tests or bloods. 
I won't be forced into formula feeding and made feel like my breastfeeding attempt wasn't good enough. 
I'll be aiming for a home birth too so that should avoid these things.

Well this is my second pregnancy and what I plan to do different is keeping my pregnancy a secret from outsiders and social media(except Glow) . I also wanna put all praise and struggling thoughts I have to God. I wanna release all stresses to God and let him be in my life to carry me and my baby through full term. I also am going to try being more active this pregnancy. I won’t post my little one until he is born or until I’m in the third trimester in my belly. I’m going to bond with my boyfriend’s son and my boyfriend more this pregnancy. I’m 17+3 with my rainbow baby and so far I’ve been keeping my word with everything.
