Due on June 20 but decided to grace us with her presence a week early. Friday night (June 12) I started having very mild contractions so I walked a little and then decided to rest for the night. Saturday morning (June 13) at 7 am on the dot I woke up having a contraction. Although still mild it definitely made me realize something was different and that baby girl was most likely coming that day. From 7-11 am my contractions stayed pretty consistent but we're 7 minutes apart around 11:30 they started coming 5 minutes apart. I waited as long as I could before going to the hospital for personal fear that they were going to end up sending me home for not being dilated or progressing. At 1:30 I was admitted into the hospital and was already dilated to a 3. They checked me again at 3:30 and I had dilated to a 5, they got me my epidural and within a couple of hours I was dilated to an 8. I was already feeling the need to push so the doctor came in and broke my water and said that I was ready to go. I pushed 3 times but unfortunately she was breech so an emergency c-section was required. At 6:58 she was here, 5 pounds 1 ounce 18 inches long.
