Car seat inspection?

Are you ladies getting your car seat inspected or just trusting yourself to do it right? I’m getting mine inspected two weeks before due date but so afraid he will come before then! My family thinks I’m crazy and it’s unnecessary.

I had an inspection this morning.  It was installed correctly, but they did give us additional tips on how to secure baby in the seat so she is safest.

My hospital expects you to get it checked beforehand. They will also do the inspection if baby comes early and you couldn’t get it done.

I did last time, but not doing it this time. It’s totally worth it, I think! They showed me how to do it last time so I think I’m good this time.

Our hospital checks expiration dates on car seats and has to make sure baby is strapped in right before we leave the hospital. They also make sure it’s put in the car right if needed. But you can’t leave with the baby until they heck expiration and all that.

We are. But my husbands car is weird and we’re not 100% sure it’s installed correctly. The base in my car is just fine and normal but since his is different we are having it checked just Incase. Better safe than sorry!

I want to get mine inspected but, like you, just feel like I’m running out of time. I might end up doing it while I’m on maternity leave. 
Also, don’t let your family shame you for taking a reasonable safety precaution. I can’t the stand the mentality of, “back in my day...and you turned out fine!”. Know what? Some kids didn’t, that’s why were more cautious now.
