Thoughts on next to me crib ???

Hello mummy’s! Just wondering what your thoughts are on having a next to me crib that fixes onto the side of your bed? My 6 week old has a Moses basket at the moment but likes to fall asleep on me or daddy’s chest and it’s really hard to
Get him down and get back into bed without him waking!? Anybody use one of these cribs? Any opinions welcome!!!

We have a cosleeper that we don’t use as one, it’s the arms reach cosleeper that we simply use as a bassinet on the side of our bed.  
We have it as it’s own separate sleeper to abide by safe sleeping habits so that baby has his own flaf surface free of everything.
We absolutely love it!
As for falling asleep on you or your husband, it’s ok.  Just keep trying to put baby down in the crib when they are sleepy but still semi awake.  Try putting a heating blanket in before and removing prior to baby going in, that way he isn’t going from warm body to cold mattress, also, you or daddy can shhhhhhhhhh him while you rock him and then continue that as you place him down.  We purchased a shhhhh machine too so that he thinks he’s still with us.
It takes time but just know a few things:
Safety first- follow fhe safe sleep guidelines to prevent sids and suffocation.
Know that right now it’s impossible for a baby this going to “learn” about falling asleep in your arms.  Enjoy the time, sleep training comes later.

You should let baby fall asleep on his/her own in the Moses basket, not on you it creates bad sleeping patterns. Baby will become reliant on you or Dad to fall asleep and won’t be able to settle themselves x

We would let our 2 month old cry for about 5 minuets and he would end up going to sleep. Now if he falls asleep on our chest and we move him to his crib he does perfect.

My baby is the same way and will only fall asleep in our arms or on our chest. She is getting better at sleeping in her rock n play but we have to make sure she’s sound asleep. We did buy a Zen Sack that has a weighted area on the chest to make it feel like they are being held. It’s seeming to work a little bit.
