Growth Ultrasound?

Question

Saw my doctor today (I’m 25 weeks) and she said everything looks normal, baby’s heart rate is where it should be and I measured 26cm fundal height which she said was around where it should be. She went ahead and ordered a 28 week ultrasound for a growth check, any ideas why since this isn’t something she orders for everyone? I’m not high risk, no complications etc.

My fundal measurement was measuring farther along than I am so the dr ordered an ultrasound to check growth.

My doctor said my next sono would be around that time at 30 weeks to check the babies weight which he said he has all his patients do.

I just had one ordered, I had to squeeze it out of them for why...on my last U/S the Nuchal fold was measuring 1 mm thicker than they like to see which is “probably nothing, everything else looks great.”
