HCG levels?

Has anyone else not had their HCG levels measured? I went in for my first appointment this week and they confirmed my pregnancy by a urine test. I didn’t think much of it at the time but now I’m wondering why they didn’t do a blood test to check my levels and I’m curious what my levels are. I just want to make sure they are high enough and are doubling like they are supposed to!

With my first, they didn’t measure my levels. My second pregnancy ended in a miscarriage so they measured my levels this time. My numbers look good so that might be the only test. It’s actually normal for just a urine test unless they have a reason to look at your numbers.

They didn’t test my levels for my first child. They didn’t test this go around either. They did draw my blood to run a panel of test that they always run. But not hcg/beta done. I kinda wished I knew what it was at, but also not overly stressed. I have my first ultrasound a week from today. I’ll be 7 weeks. I’m more anxious for that then what my levels are.

I have PCOS and my first was an IUI baby (this pregnancy was a major surprise for us), so my OB ordered a blood test BEFORE my first appointment.
 
But my understanding is that this is not the norm unless there is a reason to worry

They only checked my levels because I previously had a miscarriage. otherwise they wouldn't of
