Hcg levels/TTC after MC
Hello all, I just got the bad news from my doctor... I was 9 weeks and a miscarriage is eminent. I plan on TTC as soon as possible after but my question is - I've seen so many posts about hcg levels and my doctor never once had them checked and when I asked about it earlier in the pregnancy, she said once there is a heartbeat they don't check the levels. I asked her today if this is something they monitor now that I've had a MC and she said no, and that there aren't any medications to take to prevent another MC either. My concern is I had NO symptoms, no morning sickness, no nothing. I may be the luckiest person ever, but then again maybe not - maybe it was my hcg levels? But I'm not a doctor.
Is this normal? I really like this doctor but I would like another opinion, even if it's just from peers. Not to sound like a total hillbilly but all of my fertility experience has been in horses thus far (lol) and even vets pull progesterone checks and can medicate if levels aren't adequate. Please let me know, thank you.
