Gender waiting game

So I go for my gender scan today and I am excited !!!

The sono tech is super sweet and makes me feel comfortable from the get go (I’ve had some horrible ones!)

And she starts and says “okay, we will get all our measurements first”

I am so nervous I’m holding my breath

She then gets all the necessary out of the way and we start lookin for gender parts and she keeps saying “he” or “him”

And this baby is all over the place

I’m getting excited because she kept saying he. And then she says “well, I’m not going to guess because I don’t want to be wrong so we will wait a little longer for baby to grow and then look to be sure. I thought I saw boy parts but then baby moves and it looks like girl”

She also explained that the cord was between the baby’s legs and she was trying to get baby to move and hopefully the cord would move.

Buuut she went over the legs again and we both saw what looked like a penis and she made sure to show me it wasn’t the cord and showed me where the cord was. The cord had moved under the baby’s butt and not between the legs.

She said that she didn’t want to be wrong so we would just wait until our next scan.

I wasn’t at all disappointed because she took over an hour trying to make baby cooperate and was very nice and explained everything as she went.

I told her my last sono at 15w5d didn’t go well and the lady rushed and said it was a girl.

In my heart I’ve felt this is a boy. So fingers crossed!
