My partner has lived in this city for 8 years now, and we have been together for 3. Together we have an 18 month old daughter.

Recently his mother has had some medical issues and he has become very homesick to the point where I don’t know how to help him. (We are in Alberta, his family is in Ontario)

I know how badly he wants to move home the only problem is all of my family is over here, and if we move I will be just as homesick.. there’s no win win. Our daughter only knows the family we have here, I mean we have visited Ontario twice since she’s been born but she has great relationships with my sister and her daughters.

I’m so torn, I see how badly he is hurting but I don’t know what to do. Please any advice is appreciated
