Waiting to have sex before first Dr. Appt?

Am I crazy to wait u til my first Dr.s appt to have sex with my hubby? My appt is on Monday but I’ve held out for about a week and a half since we found out that I’m pregnant. I don’t want any mishaps.

sex is perfectly safe. the baby is safely cushioned in there. I think most people don't have sex because of sex drive is low from being tired or having nausea.

I know it’s definitely ok. I just do not like to have sex while pregnant. With my first baby we didn’t have sex the entire 9 months. I’ve been married almost 10 years lol. I just can’t get myself interested in sex when I know there is a baby in my body.

Yep I've been on restriction from the doctor since January!!! They put embryo in Feb. I'm still in restriction.  Our baby is worth it!

My doctor told me to hold off on sex till week 8 But i was having A Lot of cramping so that was his reasoning why. Other than that sex should be fine as long as it don’t hurt!:)

I decided to wait cause I had spotting and I’m glad I did because once I saw my OB, she actually put me on pelvic rest, atleast until my next check up in two weeks

I’m currently in a “hands-off situation” with the hubby and we’re both dying. Currently 6w3d and have been spotting since 5 weeks. Since the OB wasn’t sure where the spotting was coming from, she put me on pelvic rest till it stops, just to be extra safe. If you aren’t having issues, sex is totally okay during the first trimester.

My doctor told me to wait until after first trimester because I have had three miscarriages with no genetic abnormalities so she doesn't know if my uterus contracting can cause it. it's just a precaution but it gives us a little peace of mind. There is no proof that sex in the first trimester can cause. miscarriages.

I have had sex in the past and I have been ok. This pregnancy I am waiting due to me having recurrent bacterial infections. I had one back in august that caused me to miscarriage at 17 weeks so I am holding off until at least 12 weeks were the medication won’t have effects on the baby if I need to take it. I’m 8 weeks now. If there is not a real reason for you not to then I say go for it! Lol
