Today we had a scare. I got to work (teacher) and the school secretary was like you don’t look good what’s wrong. I had a lot of pressure, I was tired, swollen and quite frankly didn’t want to be at work. She was concerned and sent me to school nurse. Who also was concerned. They had me sit for a few minutes. After 20 min of sitting, my blood pressure was taken 144/90. Twenty minutes later 140/90. With much protest (on my part, I need to keep I working) I called my dr. I was instructed to go to hospital for preeclampsia testing.

Originally they said all okay, but then while waiting for blood panel on liver and kidneys they realized they ran my urine wrong. I am on cusp for preeclampsia. I need to do a 24 hour urine collection. Fortunately I am able to do it from home. I got home and finally ate something at 630 after not eating from 830 am (I was cranky!!). Everything seemed fine. I fell asleep around 830 and woke up at 11 and have been up since (1am now).

I have “period cramps”, I’ve had diarrhea (sorry tmi) and while I’m toilet was also vomited.

My dr wasn’t too concerned about the preeclampsia because was on cusp but the longer I lay here awake, the more I freak out.

I just want to get some sleep and hope most of this is just the stress of the day. My babies (twins) are active right now and I had an ultrasound today so I know they are good.

My dr said they won’t deliver until 37 weeks unless something goes terribly wrong. I am 32 weeks.
