Short Cervix, did you actually end up going into labor earlier than the 40 weeks?

I'm wondering because I'm a little annoyed at my doctor right now. Apparently when they did my vaginal ultrasound to look at my cervix at 20 weeks, it was shorter than average. But I'm just now founding out at almost 33 weeks! No one ever bothered to tell me and I was supposed to be inserting a vaginal cream daily. But doc said it's too late now. Kind of pointless... which I get. But I'm just curious about you other ladies.

I went into labor with a short cervix at around 29 weeks. We were able to stop the labor but now I’ve been in bed rest in order to reassure it doesn’t happen again. I am now 36 weeks and 6 days and if I make it to 39 weeks I will then be induced

I've had a short cervix basically my entire pregnancy. 33 weeks now, was last checked around 32 weeks and cervix was high and closed. Likely had the same issue with my son's pregnancy but wasn't diagnosed and I had him at 35+5
