Left over embryos..what to do ...?

Unfortunately my husband and I can’t expand our family any more. We have a 9 year old and our twins are 18 months. We still have 2 embryos left from IVF and are not sure what to do with them. Any suggestions??

That is such a hard decision. I personally have struggled for so long to have a child and am looking into embryo adoption. We have been trying to conceive for over 3 years, I am a pediatric occupational therapist and my lifelong goal in life is to be a mom. I know there are so many women who are in the same position as me and you could give that gift to them. You would also give that embryo a chance at life with a family who has dreamed and tried for such a long time.

There is no right or wrong answer to this. 
1. I am sure that there are tons of infertility couples that would love to adopt those embryos so they can become parents.
2. Donating your embryos isn’t right for everyone, research to further science... make strides in reproductive science, future medical treatments for the sick... 
3. Destruction.... difficult, but this is always an option.
4. Preservation... you can keep them frozen so that one day, you can decide to change your mind or delay making one of the decisions above. 
No matter what you do it needs to be a decision you and your husband make together. You need to be happy with the choice. I personally would donate them to science or do embryo adoption. That way their creation wouldn’t be in vain and they have the best chance for doing good in someones life.

I would just let it go, if science wants it then donate to science. It’s only a few cells. Unless you have a religious objection to this.
I wouldn’t like donating them to a different family. We might be walking in the street one day and run into someone looking just like us, that we didn’t know existed...

I really appreciate all of you taking time to answer. My husband and I have decided to donate them. We couldn’t imagine life without our kids and had a long and expensive road to get here that it would silly to waste them when another family could experience a love like no other.

Ours are frozen so they are ready to be donated if we choose. Just not sure about the decision to know if the pregnancy is successful or not.

we only had the option of either donating them for research or having them destroyed. we chose to donate them. it's a hard decision, it took so much work to get them it's hard to let them go.

I would give them a go. I don’t know too much about ivf but I think I’m right in saying that just because they get transferred into you, doesn’t mean they will take? So I’d ‘let 
nature take its course’ so to speak!
If you were to fall pregnant naturally and unexpectedly now, would you continue with the pregnancy? It the answer is yes which I assume it would be then I would give your little embryos a go. 
5 is an awesome number of kids too 🤗
This is just me and my personal preferences though, I couldn’t possibly donate or destroy so this would be my only option.

I remember that when my mom had hers left and the time to have them “preserved” was done, she had the option of donating them
