Anterior Placenta?

Does anyone else have this? I found out today I do, and today all day I’ve felt my son move maybe 10 times total and the day before I felt him all day. I went in and got checked out and he was moving like crazy but I couldn’t feel him! 😥 I will be 23 weeks Tuesday.

Biggest stress factor EVER! I asked the sono tech at my 19 week anatomy scan if I have an anterior placenta because I wasn’t feeling a single thing. But she was squirming around throughout the entire scan.
I finally started feeling kicks around 22 weeks but I’m currently 25w5d.
This past Wednesday & Thursday, I didn’t feel a single thing and was starting to freak myself out thinking something was wrong with her. Because I usually feel her only at night time when I’m laying down. But I didn’t even get any of that. Tried that flashlight trick, no reaction. Ate spicy Taco Bell (which usually triggers her), no reaction. And drank lemonade (which also triggers her), still got no reaction.
Finally on Friday night when I was laying down, she started moving around and kicking a bunch.
I’m like I swear this girl is gonna be the death of me & she’s not even here yet 😩

I have an anterior placenta. Try not to worry about counting kicks as due to where the placenta is the kicks and punches are often absorbed by the placenta making them less recognisable by you. I’m currently 25 weeks and some days I can only feel flutters. I think it was 28 weeks to start counting. Xx

I learned my placenta is in the same place. My little girl likes to snuggle up to my placenta so she keeps her head in my ribs and I can usually feel that as well as her lower kicks. She seems to be a pretty mellow baby so I try not to get worried when I don’t feel her move some days. I guess it helps that I’m 5’ and everything’s so compact.

Yes!!!! Finally felt him at 23 weeks. Small bubbles and the last few days it’s definitely kicks. My husband finally felt him. Usually when I’m lying down in bed and push firmly on my belly. Hehe. No denying it. You’ll feel baby soon. But I felt like you just 3 days ago.

Me🙋🏻‍♀️I’ve been able to feel my kittle girl wiggle around, but haven’t felt kicks yet at all😔I just found out I had this Thursday, and I will be 23 weeks Wed! So we’re a day apart!! My midwife said I should be able to feel actual kicks around week 25-26.

I do! I wouldn’t really worry too much about count kicks this early regardless for where your placenta is anyway though. It’s normal to not feel the baby super consistently at this point either way! But yes your placenta will block a lot of the feeling.

I do! I have just started feeling baby girl move more this past week or so. Started feeling flutters around 17-18 weeks. I’m currently 23+3. It freaks me out when I don’t feel her move, but I do have a doppler that I use if I’m really concerned.
