Is starting to potty train at 1 2 soon?

I know people who baby was potty trained by 17 months and they started on baby 1st birthday and I wanna b that type of person 🤷🏽‍♀️

That's seems way too soon. But every kid is different. My 2 year old surprised me the other day and peed on the little potty I left in the living room, but I still don't feel she's quite ready yet. Or MAYBE I'm not ready to potty train her yet. 😂 
Never push the issue though. If they're not ready, they're not ready. I tried with my first a bit before two, and she wasn't ready. We waited a few months and then it was like night and day. Was able to train her quite quickly. Our secret was letting her run around naked and keeping the potty near by. Keep in mind that pull-ups are a complete waste of money. They feel comfortable going in a diaper and it's basically a diaper.

My parents started potty training us as soon as we could walk and talk. I can’t remember exactly when they said we were potty trained but none of us were over 2 when we were completely using the toilet on our own. (Besides the occasional need for help wiping lol). I plan on doing the same thing with my son, as soon as he can walk and communicate then we’ll get him started.

I feel if the child can't communicate that they need to go or able to get on the toilet themselves then it's too early...

Don't bother til the baby shows signs of being ready!  Otherwise you'll all just get frustrated

My 1 yr old will go on her little potty. She will show you she wants in the bathroom or pull at her diaper to let you know when she has to go sometimes, definitely not an every time thing. I usually just sit her on her potty when I go as well. I think at this age its easiest to go with the flow, otherwise it will be alot of frustration involved. This was the same way my oldest learned & she was fully trained at 2.
