does Dpo stand for days past ovulation? I have no idea what all these little shortcut words mean🙋‍♀️🙈🙈

It doesn’t matter how many days past ovulation you are, as to when you can test. What matters is when you implant. You don’t start producing HCG until u implant. If u implant at 7dpo, there’s a chance you’ll get a positive test by 9dpo. But not huge. The later u implant, the later you’ll get a positive. Implantation typically occurs between 7-12dpo. You’re better off just waiting until 14dpo (or when AF is due) to rule out any false negatives from testing too early 😊
