How long should one wait for a text from someone before assuming they have been ghosted??

I said 4 - 7 days. I've gone through terribly busy work weeks or even weekends where I just didn't have the time to dedicate attention to a conversation.

I don't expect someone to always reply immediately, but I would not bother with someone who waits a whole day to text back. Honestly it's just annoying. It takes like 30 seconds to say hey I'm busy, I'll talk to you when I can.

People have their phones on them practically 24/7, I don’t expect an immediate response because people have lives and jobs and are busy, but if I don’t hear back from someone after a day - ✂️ you’re outta my life.

Sometimes I open a text when I’m too busy to respond and then forget it’s there for days haha so I chose a few days..

Okay so storytime lol... the guy and I met weeks ago but 3 days after he had to leave to go back to school in New York. We kept in contact for weeks texting every few days and he even asked me to be his plus one to a wedding in May and that he wanted me to be the first girl he would formally introduce to his mom! But then the past 2 weeks we havent been talking too much and he hasnt texted me in a week! What should I do?
