Being forced in to early delivery

Ok first of all my daughter was born 8 weeks early and now my son is currently at 38 ( tomorrow) but is measuring big has for a while now. We believe in a baby coming when god wants them to and if there is no medical reason I don’t want to be induced. My blood pressure has been great this appointment it was 133/77 p 72 I’m 6ft tall and currently weigh 350 pre pregnancy I was 330. My dr informed me today that we can have baby as soon as tomorrow. And that he will not wait past 39 weeks. To me this isn’t right. Why can’t they let my baby come when he’s ready! I’m the one who’s gotta squeeze a watermelon out. Is this a common practice now to schedule everything. What happened to spontaneously going into labor.
