Is saying “I love you” after sex with your significant other okay?

I usually tell my boyfriend that I love him after we’ve done the deed. But apparently he sees it as wrong because it makes it sounds like I just love him because of the sex. But to me I feel like for that little while afterwards or even for longer periods of time that I’m more connected to him emotionally and spiritually and the whole thing. Is that wrong???

I tell my boyfriend I love him after every time. I do love him, and sex is an intimate thing for us. He makes me feel loved and cared for because the way he treats me during and afterwards. 
I see nothing wrong with it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Everytime me and my boyfriend have sex, he’s looks down at me and just says “god I love you so much” Everytime! I love it, I think saying it brings you more together and it makes it that much more intimate everytime!
