I don’t know. They say brain activity cannot be picked up in a baby until week 27 or something. My mom just died and I’ve been so upset and I’m 16 weeks. It really sucks to think you’re hurting your baby.

My understanding (not a medical professional, I just ask my doctor a ton of questions) is no, you’re baby isn’t going to feel your sadness, anger, etc. Stress, though, produces hormones that aren’t the greatest for baby, and severe emotional states can cause a stress response in the body. You may want to talk to your doc about antepartum depression, which is very real.
