Haven't made a bond with baby?!

Question

I'm due July 22nd with my 2nd child. A little girl Zoe Elise. My little boy is 5 and he is my entire world I couldn't imagine loving anyone more than I love him. As my due date approaches I worry because I haven't made a connection or bond with my unborn child. Can someone please reassure me that it's normal because I feel like by now I should feel some kind of emotional connection. I'am excited to meet her, it's hard to explain how I feel.

I'm due in 2 weeks and feel similarly. However I'm not worried because I don't think it's a failure to bond, it's hard to imagine that inside our tummies is a child - it's still not really real yet lol (and won't be until the child is in our arms). It's difficult to imagine/comprehend the miracle that is about to happen that's my opinion. When the baby is born you will have a surge of emotion and love and everything will fall into place i'm sure. An if it doesn't bonding may take a bit of time but you will get there I promise.

I also have a 5 year old that is my whole world. I haven't really felt the bond yet with the second, I think it's normal. Once we see our babies, I'm sure it will change 😀

I have a 7 year old and I feel the same. I feel terrible sometimes for not having much feeling for this little one in my tummy.

I'm the same way. I'm really excited about my new baby, but I almost feel jealous FOR my 4 year old daughter. I'm due July 10, so I've got a few more weeks to spend with my daughter making sure she knows she's loved, but I'm just so scared she's going to feel neglected when the new baby arrives 😞. She's so excited about the new baby though that I don't even think it will be an issue lol.

I didn't bond with my 2nd until she was born. I hear that this is common. Don't worry all will work out in the end.

I'm 34 weeks with my second child. I am finding it hard too , to bond with this baby. A few reasons being - I already have a 4 year old boy who is everything to me. Also was so expecting a girl this time , and since I came to know its a boy again , it has been a bit difficult for me too.
The third and most important reason - I went through a horrible dragged miscarriage last year and since then I have distanced myself from this pregnancy emotionally. Always scared  something will go wrong.
Hoping to hold him in my arms, see him for the first time and then start bonding.
Don't know if it's selfish but protecting myself from being hurt again.

I'm feeling similarly. My son is 2.5 and I'm excited to meet my daughter soon but I'm worried how my son will react and feel. He and I are very closely bonded. I definitely understand.

This is my first child and I have not bonded with her. I am due July 10th and it has me concerned. I spoke to a close friend about it who has two kids who are her world and she said that she didn't bond with either of them for a few weeks after they were born; the boy was especially difficult bc she had hoped for another girl. So, I just hope it is normal and I am glad you posted this bc she is the only one I have talked to since I worry about someone thinking something is wrong with me. And I really dont think my husband has bonded at all... He is very excited and prepared but he rarely touches my belly, never talks to her or anything like that. Just seems like it is just about me and him still. So the fact that he isn't bonding either makes me feel a little better.
