How do you tell the difference between implantation bleeding and period?

I’m 11dpo and have just had bleeding, is this likely to be start of period?

Answer

I forgot to mention I haven’t had any cramping today, my breasts are sore and I had a fair bit of pelvic pain on my right side yesterday evening.
