When should you "drop"?

Question

Hey everyone I'm only 31 weeks pregnant and everyone in work has told me this week that I've "dropped" does this mean the baby is low ready to be born? Does this not usually happen just before baby is due? Am I not too early for that? Sorry for all the questions lol!

I “dropped” around 32/33 weeks and shes still in there at 37+5, although I wish she’d come out 😂

I think my baby is dropping now and I’m 35 weeks. I’ve noticed more pressure, losing my mucus plug, and my legs have been falling asleep the past couple days lol. This is my second pregnancy

I dropped a couple of times with my first. It’s a sign you’re moving in the right direction, but don’t let it freak you out. I deliver my baby the day after my due date even though she had dropped a couple of times between 30 and 37 weeks and my doctor didn’t think I’d make it to my due date

They say statistically baby turns and drops between 32-36 weeks. 
I won’t have my ultrasound to confirm for another 2 weeks but my OB visit yesterday (33weeks) my OB automatically was pushing on the lower part of my belly and did the heartbeat check much lower and centered than she used to. It used to be taken upper right side of my belly. I’m sure I noticed when she turned too because there was a couple of days of excessive movement, and it was uncomfortable to keep my legs together all the way and I started waddling more. Now most of the kicks I can see through my belly are in a diff spot. I am assuming at this point she’s turned.

My baby turned head down between my 24 & 28 week doctor appointments. But I’m 30 weeks and he hasn’t “dropped” yet by bump appearance.
