NEXPLANON HELP PLEASE!!!

so i got the nexplanon in a week and a half ago. it was after my period so i had to have protected sex for 7 days so i did because my boyfriend had been gone for a while. About a week ago my boobs & nipples started hurting & i mean hurting BADLY!!!! they have been super super sore like extremely sore. is that a common side effect?? do side effects happen that quickly?
