This will be our first child and we are waiting to find out the gender at birth. I love the idea of gender neutral names. My family comes from a long line of P names. So here is our tentative pick, my current favorite now

Parlin / Palin (pronounced PAH-lin)

I have a Thai heritage so this is a Thai name meaning protector (my dad’s name has the same meaning, so this is a tribute to him).

How does this sound in English? Or any suggestions on the spelling? I just don’t want people to mispronounce with Sarah Palin (pay-lin) I guess.
