SHOULD I MEET UP WITH MY EX?

I want to meet up with my ex to get an understanding of why his dumb ass cheated on me and used me. I want to do this meet up because I’m really trying not to hate him or have anger toward him but it’s hard. I want to see his point of view and hopefully it can bring me peace.. do you think it’s a good idea? P.S I have absolutely no feelings for this guy so it would just be a one time thing

I don’t think it’s going to bring you closure. Nothing he says is going to make you feel better. He obviously isn’t ready to settle down and wasn’t man enough to just be honest.

I've done this with a couple exes and it did help with closure,  but there was no cheating involved

If he cheated on you, you have a right to be angry. What reason could he possibly have that would give you closure? He slipped and fell into another woman’s vag? He met her while serving at a soup kitchen? All he’s going to do is piss you off in some way. And I told this to my boyfriend, when his ex was trying to come back around after cheating on him and leaving him. Any right to your time, they gave up the moment they disrespected you and stepped out on you. They don’t deserve to share the air you breath for a minute. I’d say he cheated because he’s a low life asshole and leave it at that and move on and up with your life.

If it were me, I wouldn't particularly need any closure. He cheated. End of discussion. I wouldn't care why he did it, or what made him decide to do it. And it certainly doesn't matter what you did or what you didn't do... he still made his choice instead of coming to you and talking about the relationship and what you two could have done differently, if anything. So why put yourself through a one time meeting, when you already know that there's no chance of you two getting back together unless secretly, you might still have some feelings for him and you'd like to just hear him out to see if it makes a difference? If not that, I think the best closure you can give yourself is just to go move on with your life and be happy.
