Breast pump?

My insurance covers a standard grade breast pump. I’m just curious what everyone else will be using? I will be home with my LO for the first 12 months and I’m really hoping to exclusively breastfeed for the first 3-6 months and then start pumping.. my husband wants to be able to feed our LO so I figured pumping after a few months will let him be able to feed her. 😊

I’ve had 5 babies and have tried over 6 different pumps (including in the infamous Medela Pump in Style). I can tell you with confidence and experience that the Spectra S1 is by far, hands down, the BEST. It’s not even a competition.

I got the Medela Advanced. One of my friends has it as well and really likes hers.

I have a Medela Pump in Style. It worked great for my first pregnancy, but I’ve never used another pump so I can’t make any comparisons. I would strongly suggest also getting a pumping bra so you can pump hands free and aren’t stuck holding bottles to yourself! Also, get some lanolin or nipple cream to use while pumping so you don’t charge.
You might consider pumping a little sooner, having a small stash of frozen milk will allow you to have a date night or girls night every once and a while!
