Has your Dr prescribed birth control even though you are TTC?

My Dr. prescribed the pill to help shrink a cyst.  I want to know if this is common and do you go on it even though you are TTC

It is not uncommon for Dr to prescribe BC for up to 3 months before getting off of it. I was on BC for several years after diagnosis and the cysts disappeared or got a lot smaller. Can't comment if it made it any easier to conceive because I'm still TTC for over a year since being off of it.
