Could this be early signs of labor?

Question

I’m 36 weeks and my doctor told me Saturday that he expects me to go into labor within the next 2 weeks due to how low baby boy is already. Today I have been having lower back pain, some contracting pains but not regularly and when I just went to the bathroom and wiped there was a clump white snot like discharge. I’m not sure if that was the mucus plug or not. Any advise would be helpful. Thanks!

My doctor told me three weeks ago to expect my son in two weeks. Three weeks later he’s still not here and I’ve dropped awhile ago 😣😣

yeah baby dropping or being low is not a sign. my son was low starting at 35 weeks and I went over due with him and had to be induced. this one has been low since around 36 weeks and here I am at 39weeks 1 day and no sign of baby. I've been losing my mucus plug since 36 weeks hahaha not an indicator either

First, baby dropping is not an indicator of when you will go into labor. Is this your first baby? I’ve been dropped since 35 weeks and will be 40 weeks in 5 days still no baby. Also everyone loses their mucus plug differently. Half of women don’t even lose it. Two of my pregnancies I didn’t lose it and my last one I did and my water had a small leak three days later. Some people do lose it as a whole some lose it in pieces. If their is blood in the mucus you are more then likely to go into labor within a few days! If your ever concerned don’t hesitate to call your doctor I’m sure they get a lot if these calls 👍🏻👍🏻
