Posting singing videos on YouTube?

My brother gave me an idea today that I should post singing videos on my YouTube account. Before i was gonna use it to vlog but then I didn't have enough time to record or edit +. I'm not the best at singing , I think am an average but I am really scared to posting anything really because I know my friends would want to see it. But then I am currently writing a story on this app called "episode" and it really is my main focus right now and I have always been the one to start new projects and then forget them later. Idk what should I do?
