Copper IUD ?!?!

Im 19 turning 20 in june. Ive tried the depo shot and nexplanon and they both messed with me very badly. Ive really been considering a copper IUD but does it actually work? & How painful is the insertion? I also heard that it can move out of place easily. I have a lot of questions but please someone share their experiences with the copper iud !

I've had the paragaurd twice. I cant have hormones so it worked perfectly for me. No pregnancy when it was in. It hurts a bit with insertion but not too much. Just take a couple Ibuprofen before the appointment. Easy peasy.  I had one before my son (so no kids) it was inserted during my cycle because the cervix is softened at that time of the month, just a bit of cramping after. Got it taken out and concived my son easiy. Then got another after my son, that one hurt a bit more to insert, but once again not bad, and light cramping for about an hour after. Got it removed and am now pregnant with my second. I will get another once this baby is born. They have never moved on me, and no scares while they were in.

Hurt like hell getting inserted. Cycles for a year were heavier and last an average of 11 days. Year two and going forward it is like I never got it, and it's good for 12 years.!

I've had the copper iud inserted before i was sexually active and damn girl I'll tell you it hurt! i was almost done my period when i got it inserted. but it does work! it takes your body to get used to it first. I had alot of the side affects tho such as my sex drive went to 0 and my cramps got a little worse not much more then i normally had. and i was always sleepy! like i could never get enough sleep. But for everyone its different. i had it put in at 19 and got it taken out a little over a year later.
