Hypothetically, if you felt that your fiancé had an atrocious last name, or felt that it didn’t suit you at all and felt like it went against your identity, etc. would you still take his last name?

i’m kind of in this situation, i don’t hate his last name but i don’t feel like it suits me. i just can’t imagine having his last name, and any hyphenated combinations sound awful. i have a unique last name where as his is extremely common, it just feels wrong to change it.

how would you feel in this situation?

i know it isnt a big deal and some may think i’m being disrespectful or superficial, please give honest opinions!
