Pregnancy tests - why do it?

I'm seeing more and more people opening their pregnancy tests to "get a better look" or "because  they saw something".

No offence ladies, but the minute you open them, any line you have got immediately goes invalid anyway. And if you think you can see a line, you probably won't see it any better without the casing anyway, so you may as well leave it on! You're only driving yourself mad. Just wait a few days a test again... I know it's hard but you're just ruining your tests anyway, so what was the point in taking them??

Not saying this to sound rude, but you know the answer you're going to get... a lot of responses telling you what I'm saying anyway!

This is mostly true. Except for dollar tree and Walmart cheapies. They are open to the air in the case and are Internet cheapie in a case. Which is why their instructions say don't read after 5 mins instead of 10. Also. Digital always have lines. 2 for a regular and 3 for a weeks indicator. Always, every time.

If it isn't a digital test taking the plastic off isn't making it invalid. I have done it so I could see a line better and yes I did turn out to be pregnant

I also see women looking at a test hours later or even the next day and wondering if it's positive. Not a good idea to second guess the results once they're invalid. Very important to carefully read the directions.

Just a heads up a lot of women use a dip stick which does not have a casing. I am not sure if that is what you are seeing. I haven't seen a lot of posts where women remove the casing. But valid point.
