Is your baby clapping and waving hi/bye?

Asking only because my 9 month isn’t doing it and I’m a bit worried.

Alex doesn’t clap or wave yet, but the whole way through the grocery store it’s “Hi!” “Hi!” “Hi!”

My LO just started clapping at 9.5 mo and even then it's not perfect, it's like he's slapping his fist sometimes lol

Waving no but we don’t wave to her. Clapping up and down with sides of hands rather than hands together, so not real clapping.

Even when she falls over, it’s like she does it to stop herself crying!
She knows how to wave, but she’s a little more picky with who she waves to. Quite often she just holds her hand up and leaves it at that. 
On the flipside to that, she only ever says ‘ma’ and ‘ba’, and I don’t think I am ‘mama’ she just says it to anyone when she’s upset :/ I feel her motor skills are developing pretty well, but her verbal skills are a bit behind (then again, both me and her father were like this as babies too)
Kids learn different things at different speeds.

neither.. he knows what clapping is and can sometimes wave but not really.

Clapping consistently when we say YAY! or when he's proud of himself for something... usually feeding himself Cheerios 😂 he rarely waves and I don't think he understands that it means bye or hi yet. He will just occasionally mimic us.

My girl will be 10 months on April 7, she waves inconsistently and when she feels like it. I think she may be trying to clap, kind of a weird looking clap 😂 so that I would say maybe not just yet. But she is pointing using her index finger at objects she’s interested in.
