How many covers for newborn stash?

I have about 15 prefolds plus 10 aios. This should get me through for dping laundry  every other day. I only have 5 covers for the prefolds. Is that enough?

You should be fine with 5 covers, especially if they are not lined and can just be wiped down. I used 2-3 covers a day when my babe was a newborn.

I have way too many covers since I decided halfway to switch from pul to wool, but for newborn pul covers, my original amount would have been eight to wash every other day assuming baby went through twelve diapers a day and I changed covers every three changes or so.

Did math wrong, 12 prefolds and 5 workhorses.  All GMD. All newborn size.   I have 24 small prefolds for next size up.

I personally have 10, but I haven't had to use more than 1 per day. 5-7 is plenty.

15 for the first few days and then realized that it wasn’t enough coz my baby poop like 8 times a day. So I had to get the bigger size clodi stash that I planned to put on him starting the 2nd month.
