Progesterone Capsules

Claire

Is anyone else taking progesterone capsules? I’m 8 weeks and my progesterone levels dropped from when I was 6 weeks until now

They went from 18.8 to 16.2

They’re intravaginal capsules that so far are causing me a lot of leaking and wetness. I am so afraid of getting my pH down there off and having to deal with that on top of my severe nausea and just overall crappy feeling.

I’d love to hear anyone’s experience taking these. Did they help? I am wearing a panty liner because I’m leaking so much. I laid down for over an hour after inserting it and it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

Thank you!

I had them for my 1st successful pregnancy after 4 MCs. It's not fun but soooo worth it! I'm taking the shots this pregnancy

I’m having to take them twice a day. Yes what a mess but hopefully worth it all. My husband and I have done so much to get here, that this will be nothing. We are also having to take baby aspirin and Enoxaparin sodium shots daily. The shots are killing me, they are suppose to prevent blood clotting to prevent miscarriage. But if I can be proactive about it that’s what I’m going to do. The doctor said once we feel the baby our maternal instincts will kick in and we will do anything for the baby. Best of luck!

So I was advised to take them before bed ONLY (as you should stay in a flat position). That being said, the suppositories are actually liquid (half the reason it feels wet down there). My HCG were 5.9 at 7 weeks (HCG SHOULD be above 10). With my first I also had low HCG and took these and had a near perfect pregnancy because of it. (Hugs). Usually you only take these until around 12-13 weeks (at that point the doctor will determine if they are still needed).

I was on them the whole pregnancy with my 1st, im now pregnant with #2 and was put on the highest dose from my first set of bloodwork. Buy some thin pantie liners. If youre not comfortable using them now thats ok months 6- the end i would recommend it for you comfort and to help kerp everything dry down there.

I am using them for the first time, started on them the day I got my positive test! I have been spotting brown and pink though but everything looked great on the ultrasound so not sure about why I’m spotting....

They can irritate your vagina and cause the spotting. Still let your doc know in case you need an increased dose

She doesn’t know. She said she doesn’t see any blood built up on my uterus and baby looks perfect. I kind of think maybe my cervix is just not digging me putting the progesterone in 2x a day!
