So today, we (and by we, I mean me as he is currently 36,000ft above the Greenland Sea) announced our engagement to our families. We’ve had mixed responses but all good things from the people that matter.

I’m so happy that people finally know and tbh it’s made me feel a little better about him being deployed.

The only thing worrying me is when it comes to planning the wedding, his mum and Dad really hate each other, they are divorced obviously and it was a really messy divorce to say the least. Both have now moved on and have new partners but they still cannot be in the same room without it turning into a full blown riot.

I’m just wondering if anyone has had experience with this before because I’m really going to struggle to plan a wedding that makes everyone happy.
