How many oz should my 4 week old drink?!?

My son is ready to be 4 weeks and I’m starting to start my stockpile for work . I’m a ftm and not sure how much he should be drinking . I’ve tried to give him 2.5 oz he still gives off hunger signs . Should I go to 3.5.? What is too much .? Should I just let him drink until he stops himself ? When I nurse him he stays on for 10 mins then refuse and wants to eat again 30-45 mins later . Is that normal ? I just feel as though I’m ALWAYS feeding my son lol and is it common for breastfeed babies to spit up .? It’s never a lot to cause concern but I thought the only is something formula fed babies do

Are you paced feeding? My daughter was drinking 2 oz of breastmilk every 3 hours at 4 weeks old. 
If your baby is still unconsolable after the bottle, then try increasing it by half an ounce.

yes it's normal to spit up! I let my son latch and eat as long as he wants. as far as the bottle goes if he's still hungry then you can try more. my son will eat 2 oz some days and 4 oz others. they go through growth spurts and cluster feed and eat different amounts just like we do. some days we're hungrier than other days!

Each baby is different but total a day 24-30 oz is normal. My 10 week old was eating 4 oz every 3 hours for a total of 6 feedings a day with almost no spitting up or gas problems since about 3 weeks old.  She just started eating 5 oz and 5 feedings a day this week.

My LO is 4 weeks and after visiting a LC, we found out he was taking 3.5/4 ounces from my breasts during a feeding so when I make his bottles I usually do 4 oz. I package 4 oz and 2 oz portions so they are easily combined.

My baby still spit up when I was breastfeeding (I was doing breast & formula). I ended up bottle feeding breast milk too, just because it was more convenient for me to pump and bottle feed. At 4 weeks he started eating 3-4 ounces at once. Now at 6 weeks he eats 4-5 ounces at one feeding but then he’s not hungry again until about 3-5 hours later. Sometimes during night time he will only want 6 ounces over the span of 6-7 hours. I was always told to feed until they stop, but I always make my little guy take breaks while eating just to make sure he is actually still hungry and not sucking just to suck.

My sons 8 weeks and has been drinking 3 oz since about 3 weeks. He spits up often. He has reflux and is on medicine but still spits up sometimes. I’ve noticed if he needs to burp I’ll sometimes think he is still hungry or if he’s tired. Is he burping good?
