Is your almost 2 year old forward facing in car seat?

If you switched them from rear to forward facing, was it better?

*** Please no bashing for choices on rear vs forward facing - we all know rear is recommended until age 2 or older. ***

Mine is way happier facing forward and it’s much easier to hand her things she wants during a drive.

My son is forward facing and has been since about 18 months, since we didn't have room for him to continue rear-facing. He enjoys it more, for sure. He can see and so he talks more. I use it as an educational experience. Lol. I'll ask him what he sees and he'll tell me what color it is, etc. We have since gotten a new car that's bigger, but I'm not even going to try turning him around. He hates rear-facing now, so we had to change his seats in the grandparents' cars too.

We are planning to keep him rear facing until at least 3... it helps a lot that my oldest sits in our third row so it help keeps him content.

I didn't vote because both yes and no. she was turned forward facing in my husband's car at about 16 months because she outgrew the infant car seat and a rear-facing convertible car seat didn't give him enough leg room to drive. She does great in it and absolutely loves it. in my minivan she is still rear-facing and probably will be for at least the rest of this year as she has enough room. she definitely throws more fits in my car and gets upset because she can't see as many things as we drive.

My daughter has been coward facing since 20 months but then again I won't let her sit in the car without someone sitting next to her.

Some states have laws on this so that’s something to be careful with. I live in Pennsylvania and you aren’t allowed to forward face until they are two years old.

We did it a few times (on a five minute drives) to test it out. She did much better rear facing, and our car is super small and car seat so big that it actually gave her less leg room. We reclined her car seat a bit more to giver her more leg room and was much better.
