Sizing up for bottle nipples?

At what age did you size up bottle nipples for your LO?

my son is 7 months and I changed to the size 2 about a month ago. I didn't want him falling asleep with the bottle anymore since he teeth came in. the faster flow keeps him awake, but he still gets drowsy shortly after.

I think my son was 3 months when we moved him up the first time. He was sucking so hard that the nipple was collapsing and he was getting frustrated so he would cry when I would feed him. Now my son is 6 months and he’s on the fastest flow. 
Your babe will let you know when it’s time to move up. I wouldn’t worry about it until he/she starts collapsing the nipple and acting frustrated. I think the ages on the package are just a general guide. Good luck!

My little one is 9.5 months and we only now went to size 2 nipple, she was using newborn (size 0) and size 1 up until 9 months old-when I asked my pediatrician about it she said that if you were breastfeeding-your nipple wouldn’t change the flow as the baby grows and different nipple sizes are basically just a marketing ploy.
