Labor in hell...

Ashley • TRW 💍 Empress ❤ Heiress 💜 Soul 💙

You know last Thursday I was hoping just for a routine check up, well I got much more. I was 37+6. My doctor was already alarmed about my blood pressure for the last week or so. they thought I was developing preeclampsia. At my visit my blood pressure was still elevated so my doctor decided to send me to the PET unit for further testing. Shortly after I arrived he decided up to admit me for 24 hour observation. not even 2 hours later my doctor decided to induce me to prevent further complications. strep. They moved me to labor and delivery and statted the induction. They inserted a balloon and gave me the first dose of cytotec. I also was given Penicillin because I was positive for group b strep. After 4 hours the balloon did it's job and I was 4cm dilated. my cervix wasn't soft enough so they gave me another dose of cytotec. I attempted to sleep but stayed up for majority of the night. Around 9 am my mom came and my husband went home to get some sleep because I was still 4 cm dilated. the doctor cane in and said my cervix was soft enough so they broke my water. the contractions immediately intensified to practically unbearable. I was getting barely 30 second breaks. The nurse that was taking care of me kept pushing for me to get an epidural until I eventually caved just to get some peace. the epidural was so hard I was having contractions through it I barely could calm down long enough for him to get it in. As soon as it kicked in my sleep deprivation started top take over, I began dozing off. My mom went down to get a cup of tea. As I finally felt better a few minutes later i had the insane urge to poop. the nurse came back in andto admit me for 24 hour observation. They moved me to a room and I got comfortable. Not even 2 hours later he then said forget it and says he wants to induce me. Ok just my luck I'm scared and excited at this point. They let me eat my last meal, my husband brings me a ham and cheese sandwich, ha my favorite. I'm then moved to labor and delivery. It's about 9pm they insert a balloon and give me the first dose of cytotec. It was the most uncomfortable thing I ever felt, i felt like crying already. After it was in the uncomfort from the balloon inside kept me highly irritated. I need complete silence to not feel like I was dying, even though the pain was still manageable I was in agony. i was also hooked up to an IV on magnesium to help control my blood pressure and penicillin because I was positive for gro i explained my discomfort. She said I was 10cm and she was ready. I immediately called my husband who was just getting out the shower to tell him to rush back the baby was coming. I then called my mom and told her to hurry back upstairs. As the nurses pre began prepping the wrong for birth I cried in agony as I help my mom's handYou know last okThursday I was hoping just for a routine check up, well I got much more. I was 37+6.
