So I have been with my boyfriend for over five years now. I started dating him when his son was only 3 years old. He will be 9 in August. When I say I love him, I LOooOoOOve him. He is just the most smart, handsome, creative, polite little boy. We are not married but I consider him my step child.. not even step, just my child. His mother has a few other kids and he’s always been on the ‘back burner’ in her life to say the least. He’s been living with us full time since early December and I’ve loved it. He only goes with his mother here and there in weekend and I always miss him when he’s gone!! He tells everyone I’m his ‘step mom and best friend’. It warms my heart every time. I just want every step parent to know that you okay such a huge roll in these children’s lives!! They watch you and look up to you. When he snuggles with me to watch movies I am just so thankful he’s in my life. I’ve had such trouble holding pregnancies and I’m reminded of how lucky I am to already have this little boy whether he’s biologically mine or not. I didn’t give him life but life gave me him. ♥️
