Sippy cup?

When did you start your LO on sippy cups? I just seen a post where mom’s were starting at 6 months? Some even at 4? My daughter just turned 6 months today, (she isn’t sitting on her own yet) and I was wondering when I should start her on sippy cups.

We skipped the silly cup and started introducing 360 cups at 8 months, and he was fully weaned off the bottle by 1 year. It's best for their oral health to wean off bottles by 12 months, though it's not the end of the world if you don't.

Started straw cups at 6 months. We used the munchkin weighted straw cup. 
You should definitely introduce it at 6 months or shortly after because the goal is to stop all bottles (if baby takes a bottle) at 12 months.

Our daughter started 4-6 months too, but she could sit up on her own. If yours can’t I wouldn’t. Wait until they are sitting up and eating proper solid meals. Then introduce it for meal times as the extra fluids.

We started trying sippy cups at almost 7 months when he was sitting up on his own and crawling. He didn't and still doesn't like drinking out of them and he's currently 10 months. He also gets a bit picky with his bottle, he will only drink from a bottle if he's super hungry or wants to chew on the nipple 🙄 he's breastfed too so he prefers the boob over anything

6 months we started with sips of water. Now at 10 months she only likes the Dr Brown straw cups and does very well with it.

My boy is gonna be 6 months next week and I’ve ordered a 360 cup, gonna slip sippy cups altogether. He hardly has a bottle as he’s breastfed

I started a sippy cup of water during meal time when my daughter started solids at 6 months. My Ped recommended it to wash the food down and start getting her use to it.

We got a sippy around 5-6 months. When we knew she 100% could sit up on her own.
