I went to my first appointment this week thinking I was 7 weeks. The Transvaginal ultrasound only showed a gestational sac measuring 6 weeks?! She explained it is likely a blighted ovum but we will make sure in 1 week with another transvaginal ultrasound before making any medical decisions. I don’t even know what to think as I’ve seen so many stories where baby was just too small to see. I do NOT want to go into the appointment with high hopes and I would rather be realistic about it. This is my first pregnancy and if there’s no baby then I would like to move on. This waiting period is the worst!
