Anybody do a gender blood test?

What type did you do (Docters office or mail-in)? How early did you test? And were your results accurate?

We just looked into this tonight, actually. We are going to do the prelude prenatal screen which tests 5 chromosomes: 13, 18, 21 (down syndrome), X, and Y. In the end, we will know the sex of the baby. We won't have results for about 2 more weeks, but I'll keep you posted!

I ordered the SneakPeek to do in the next few weeks (I’m only 7w6d now and have my first prenatal appointment next Tuesday at 8w5d) with the understanding that it’s not 100% accurate in the home setting. I am a nurse so I do feel that I should be able to obtain at least close to sterile conditions for a more accurate result. The only reason I’m interested in this type of testing is because when I was pregnant with my almost 12 year old daughter, I didn’t find out her gender until 1 week prior to delivery at our last fetal echo. I begged the tech to scan other areas to see if they could see parts and they did. She had been badly positioned the rest of my pregnancy.
