So my boyfriend and I plan on getting married in about 2 years, I’m 18 and he’s 20. We’re saving a lot of money which is good and I was hoping for us to get an apartment together then save up some more for a house when we have our kids. The thing is that he wants us to live with his mom after we get married. His mom lives in a duplex and she’s offering us to stay for only 650 a month which is pretty darn good and I like the inside she updated most of it. I just don’t like the fact that we’re going to be living right by her. My boyfriend is a serious mommas boy and he goes to her for everything and tells her everything. I just feel like it would be a problem. Second, I just don’t like the neighborhood. I don’t want to sound rude or anything but the neighborhood is kind of ghetto there’s a lot of trash in front of all of the houses it looks like a dumpster everywhere you look. I just don’t feel safe. I’m afraid to bring this up to him because he already talked to his mom about it and said yes but I don’t want to. He thinks paying so much rent on an apartment will just take longer for us to save money and buy a house. What should I do?
