Thyroid Cancer/ infertility ?

Amy • 25 yrs, Cosmetologist. Married to my best friend.. TTC 👩🏻🧡🧔🏻🇨🇴🧡🇺🇸

So background, always had irregular periods, started the pill really early on, maybe 13 years old to make period ‘become regular’... fast forward at age 16 I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, had that fully removed and a couple lymph nodes that it spread to removed as well.. with follow up I had a Low Iodine Radiation treatment directly following (1 month?) after removal surgery, and then again one year after surgery date. I’m now age 24, been married for 5 years now.. off BC for 3.5-4 years now. Was diagnosed with PCOS around time off marriage, maybe a little before, I’m on dose of Metformin 1500..me and my hub have never used protection, even when dating.. first 3 years just did pull out method, and after that we were just ‘if it happens, it’s a blessing, but we aren’t trying’... but I’ve now officially started tracking ovulation and really TTC... Recently I’ve been poking around and saw there is new studies showing the treatment of Radioactive Iodine Treatment can harm your eggs and make conceiving harder in the long run... can anyone else shed some light on this ? We BD no less then every other day or so.. we’ve always been like that, but I can’t imagine why we haven’t gotten a bfp yet.. anyone have experience with Radiation and Conception? Any input would be helpful..
