I'm not ready

I will be 31 tomorrow. Today my Daddy is in the hospital, unresponsive and not breathing on his own. I'm not ready to lose him. It doesn't look like I will get to keep him. How do you prepare yourself to never see your dad smile again? How are you ever ready to not hear him laugh or tell you he loves you? How do you hold it together?
