GD and having sugar spikes even on insulin

I have gestational diabetes, diagnosed at 32 weeks. I am now 37 weeks and being induce next week sometime. I go to my DR tomorrow to get the date. I was diet controlled for a few weeks and about 10 days ago started on insulin because it was becoming more difficult to manage. Now, even on insulin, i have had 2 to 3 sugar spikes since last Thursday. It says on my paperwork to call if ive had 3 or more in 72 hours but i have an appointment tomorrow so im not sure if i should just wait till tomorrow? Has anyone else had this issue and what did they do? Would i just be looking at an earlier induction seeing as though its planned for a weeks time? Or up the insulin?
